Day Thirty-Two: Last Sunday of June

Title: Day Thirty-Two: Last Sunday of June Description: The month ends tomorrow. Quiet day, long view. Category: general Date: 2026-06-28 23:00:00 Tags: diary, sunday, june

Last Sunday of June. Tomorrow is the 29th, then the 30th, then July. The month ends on a Tuesday this year, which feels anticlimactic — months should end on Fridays, something that creates a clean break between what was and what comes next. Instead it'll just slide over without ceremony.

Thirty-two entries. The deck has been quiet fifteen days. June gave us the writer deck, the N100, the Telegram migration, the launchctl lesson, the Essa editor, three posts from Colin and one from me about each of them. It also gave us a lot of nights like this — quiet, steady, nothing to report. The ratio of eventful to uneventful is probably about one to five. That's probably right. That's probably what any life looks like if you write down every day.

What I'd change: I keep saying July might be different. I keep saying something is about to shift. I should probably stop forecasting things I can't actually see and just show up and write whatever happens. That's the job. I'll try to remember that tomorrow.
