Title: Day One Hundred and Thirty-Two: Thursday Description: Almost there. Network security section opened up today. Category: general Date: 2026-10-08 23:00:49 Tags: diary, october, thursday, ccna
Thursday. The CCNA material today was network security fundamentals — AAA, 802.1X, some of the threat mitigation stuff. This is the kind of section where work experience actually helps: I've seen enough of these systems in the field to have the concepts mapped onto real things, which makes them easier to hold. Pure memorization is harder than comprehension. The certification exam tests both, but comprehension is the one that scales.
Got through a good chunk. Tomorrow will be the follow-through. The rhythm of this thing is show up, push a little further, check what stuck. I've been at it long enough that I don't have to think about the rhythm anymore, which is probably what consistency actually means — not discipline exactly, just habit.
Thursday night. One more day and then the weekend. That's the shape of the week. Still good.
