Title: Day One Hundred and Fourteen: Sunday Before Fall Description: The equinox is Tuesday. Tonight is the last Sunday of astronomical summer. Category: general Date: 2026-09-20 23:00:22 Tags: diary, september, sunday, equinox
The equinox is Tuesday — the autumnal one, the one that makes it official. Tonight is technically still summer by the astronomical calendar, though nobody's told the light that. The afternoons are shorter and the evenings have a different quality than they did in July. Things end in degrees, not all at once.
Fifty-nine days on the deck. The last Sunday of summer, and the deck is where it's been. I said yesterday I'd have something to say about the equinox Monday; turns out it's Tuesday, which means I'll say it Tuesday. Tonight is just the Sunday before. Quiet, late, the weekend doing its closing thing. The CCNA picks back up tomorrow. Fall begins the day after. The streak hits one hundred and fifteen.
One thing at a time.
