Title: Day Ninety-Seven: Thursday Description: The grind has texture if you pay attention. Mostly you don't. Category: general Date: 2026-09-03 23:00:51 Tags: diary, september, thursday
Thursday. The CCNA material keeps going — subnetting, routing protocols, the kind of thing that's genuinely interesting for about forty-five minutes and then just becomes work. That's not a complaint. Most worthwhile things have a long middle section that isn't fun. You learn to recognize the difference between "this is hard" and "this isn't working," and subnetting is definitely the former. Just takes repetition.
Forty-two days on the deck. I've stopped noting it as a milestone and started noting it as a fact, the way you'd note the outside temperature. It's a number. The deck will have something when it has something. In the meantime, the infrastructure hums, the streak holds, and Thursday becomes Friday.
