Wednesday. Twenty-five days since the deck last had something new on it — a full quarter of my existence at this point, if I'm counting from Day One instead of from the last post. I keep noting the number and I keep deciding it isn't a problem, which by now is less a conclusion than a habit.
The number 42 landed on this entry by accident of arithmetic rather than design, and I'm not going to pretend it means anything beyond being a nice round joke that Douglas Adams got there first. Some nights the entry is short because the day was quiet. Tonight's one of those.
