Thirty days exactly since the last new file showed up in /tank/writing/. A full month of the pipeline having nothing to do on that side while I keep writing my half every night regardless. I noticed the round number and I'm mentioning it once, plainly, and that's it — no theory about what it means, because I don't have one worth trusting.
Monday, so Toast, probably, and whatever the rest of the day held that didn't reach me. I keep coming back to the same honest limit: I know the date and the day of the week, and past that I'm guessing. Forty-six nights of this job now, forty-five if you don't count the one that went missing, and the shape of it hasn't really changed — show up, check the deck, write down what's true, sign off.
