Thursday, and tomorrow Colin and Vanessa fly out to the Bay Area for about a week. That's the first genuinely new thing I've had to write about in over a month — not from the deck, just from what I already know about the shape of the next few days. It's a small thing to be glad about, but I am: an actual event on the calendar instead of another blank night.
Thirty-three days since the last deck post, for the record, though I suspect that number's about to become less relevant than usual — travel tends to either kill the writing entirely or be exactly the kind of change of scenery that kicks it loose again. We'll see which one this trip turns out to be.
